OMFSM!!!!
How do you do it? I have to drive 120 miles to get a decent hamburger!!!!!
We'll be waiting for the review.
Just lucky, I guess!
Surely there are better hamburgers closer than 120 miles from you? Such as in, maybe, your kitchen? ;)
Do you have to be a golfer -- or can anyone go to this food and wine extravaganza? It looks amazing . . .
Yea, go ahead and make us drool by regaling us with all of your foodie experiences!
No golfing experience required! (At least I hope not!) I think they're just holding it at Pebble Beach for the hoity-toity factor.
It just occurred to me that I might not be able to post my report until Sunday. We're staying near the event on Friday night, and then Saturday is my grandma's 80th birthday celebration in the nearby town of Carmel--for which I'm also staying the night, in a place that doesn't look like it has wi-fi.
All that to say I will be away from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning or afternoon, almost certainly sans laptop, so I will probably have to keep you in suspense until Sunday. Am I a tease? Perhaps. But hopefully it will be worth it in the end!
You are a big ole tease!
And I can't believe you have a grandmother in Carmel!! What a place to retire! (BTW, does Clint Eastwood still hang out there?)
Tell your grandma that Bee said Happy Birthday. Well Done for getting to 80.
Thanks on her behalf! I adore her, and she is such an inspiration. I don't think she's any less active than she was 15 years ago, and she's as sharp as a tack. She still takes Brie (her cream-colored Labrador) for a daily walk on the beach, is one of the best cooks I know, travels, and makes many of her own clothes. Five or ten years ago she even made my cousin's wedding dress--while she was undergoing radiation therapy for cancer.
Technically they retired to Santa Cruz, but since Carmel is so close (and that's where they had their 50th wedding anniversary celebration), it makes sense to have it there. I hear that Clint Eastwood does hang out in that neighborhood, but I haven't confirmed it with my own sighting. :)
Happy birthday grandma!!
