To give you an idea of what we're working with here, this satellite image was taken of northern California on Thursday:

The Suitor and I ventured coastside today for our long ride. The fog and overcast skies were a welcome reprieve from the dingy, smoky haze that has become the norm over the last week or so on this side of the mountains. So far I have been able to keep doing my training outside without feeling any substantial effects from the smoke... here's hoping that the same is true of tomorrow's long run.

Ugh...Friday was pretty bad here in the East Bay.... Smoke+fog = the worst visibility.
Is Katie (who is not single)'s home OK?
So far so good, BSR--thanks for asking. We're keeping our fingers crossed.
Anne,
I rarely feel that I am enjoying the better weather . . .
I will cross my fingers for Katie (and nameless others, too.
I saw that Big Sur has been evacuated.
