That cake is adorable! Very clever work with the royal icing.
(What's underneath the green?)
We had pumpkin pie for breakfast today . . . not very spring-like, I realize, but my daughter had a craving for it.
Thanks! It's not royal icing, actually. The green and the flowers are fondant, and the beads around the base are Swiss buttercream. The cake inside is vanilla buttermilk filled with lemon curd and raspberries, iced with the buttercream.
Pumpkin pie for breakfast sounds delicious. But on Mother's Day, aren't you supposed to have what you want for breakfast?
Beautiful! So much for my diet!
